From 5 to 8 November 2024, the 75/2023 CEPOL Course on “Administrative approach to counter Organised Crime Groups” was held at the “Sala Cenacolo” of the Scuola di Perfezionamento per le Forze di Polizia in the framework of its interagency and international training activities.
This event was organized in cooperation with CEPOL (European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training) as well as with the Criminal Police Central Directorate. Moreover, qualified Italian, German, Spanish, Dutch and Belgian trainers delivered their lectures together with other trainers coming from several European Agencies (Europol, EURIEC, EUCPN and ENAA).
This course was attended by 29 Senior Police Officers coming from EU Member States as well as from European Associated and Candidate Countries (Denmark, Georgia and Ukraine) and from the OLAF Agency (European Anti-Fraud Office).
It was aimed at enhancing the fight against organized crime groups (OCGs), thus honing the capacities of senior police officers to prevent serious and organized crimes by means of an administrative approach, the relevant tools and benefits.
This training activity was focused on the possibilities aimed at ensuring the transition from the preventive measures adopted by the Italian system to an international perspective, thus highlighting the benefits achievable through international cooperation, benchmarking, and cross-border exchange of operational information within administrative procedures.
