Meeting between the Commander-General of the  Carabinieri Corps and the trainees of the XLI Advanced Training Course

In the morning of 19 June 2026, the Commander-General of the Carabinieri Corps,  Lieutenant General Salvatore Luongo, was welcomed by the Director of the Scuola di Perfezionamento per le Forze di Polizia, National Police Dirigente Generale Vincenzo Massimo Modeo, and met with the trainees of the  XLI Advanced Training Course.

The Commander-General outlined the latest developments within the Caraninieri Corps, which is engaged in a continuous process of technical and cultural evolution to ensure that its response to citizens’ security needs is increasingly effective and relevant, while upholding the institution’s traditional and founding values of dedication and closeness to the public and  recognizing the need to address today’s increasingly complex contexts and scenarios, characterized by significant instability and rapid change.

In this context, special mention was given to the organizational efforts and commitment dedicated to the new challenges represented by the fight against  cybercrime and the protection of the environment.

At the conclusion of his lecture, Lieutenant General Luongo wished to share with the course trainees —“the leaders of today and tomorrow”— his vision of charismatic and modern leadership that combines the courage to make decisions and take responsibility—essential elements of command—with equally strong qualities such as approachability, empathy, passion, and the ability to listen to staff, noting that the most effective solutions often arise from “collective intelligence.”
