From 4 to 8 November 2024, on the occasion of the series of conferences dedicated to anti-mafia activity and organized in the framework of the training initiatives provided for in the curriculum of the XL Advanced Training Course, the Scuola di Perfezionamento per le Forze di Polizia (SFP) hosted a meeting attended by several outstanding representatives of Institutions, the Government and various Police Forces. This event was held at the “Prefetto Carlo Mosca” Conference Hall of SFP.
The session was opened by a panel discussion concerning the Mafia-type organizations operating in Rome and then the analysis was focused on the Sicilian Mafia, the history of the Camorra, the international mafias and drug trafficking.
One day of the meeting was dedicated to the N’Drangheta organization and the history of the Apulian mafias.
The series of meetings concluded on Friday 8 November 2024, with a study seminar on “The evolution of the Mafias” in the presence of the Member of Parliament Wanda Ferro, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of the Interior; Lawyer Fabio Pinelli, Vice President of the Consiglio Superiore della Magistratura (High Council of the Judiciary); Mr. Giovanni Melillo, National Anti-Mafia and Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor and the Member of Parliament Chiara Colosimo, Chair of the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry into the phenomenon of Mafia-type organizations.
