Advanced Course on: “Combatting Terrorism & Subversion”

9–19 June 2026

The Advanced Course on “Combatting Terrorism and Subversion”, which began on Tuesday 9 June 2026, concluded this morning at the Caserta-based Scuola Internazionale di Alta Formazione per la Prevenzione ed il Contrasto al Crimine Organizzato. The lectures were delivered by prominent representatives of the Italian law enforcement agencies involved in combating and preventing terrorism and subversion, as well as magistrates and university professors who are experts in the topics covered. The lectures were further enriched by presentations of significant case studies delivered by Italian Management Grade Police Officers/Officials, as well as by contributions from foreign participants, thus providing a training programme that was highly appreciated by all those attending.

A large number of European and non-European countries were involved, a total of twenty-two nations as follows: Algeria, Bosnia, Brazil, Canada, Greece, Kosovo, Poland, Portugal, Switzerland, Thailand, Ukraine, Chile, Belgium, Kuwait (with two representatives), Latvia, Senegal, Cameroon, Lithuania, Slovakia, Spain, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and Niger.

Six trainees from the Italian police forces participated in this event: two from the Carabinieri Corps, two from the Guardia di Finanza Corps and two from the Prison Police. They were Management Grade Police Officers/Officials with specific investigative experience in the sector.

Then, the course concluded with a brief ceremony to deliver the certificates of attendance. On this occasion, the trainees were addressed by the Director of the Studies, Research and Courses Service at the SFP, Carabinieri Corps Brigadier General Alessandro Della Nebbia, in the presence of the Deputy Chief of Local Police of Caserta, National Police Primo Dirigente Vincenzo Vitale, the Management Grade Police Officer Goffredo Zarrella, Head of the Training Directorate of the Prison Police, the Director of the Police Cadet School of the National Police in Caserta, National Police Primo Dirigente Adele Monaco, as well as the Director of the Scuola Internazionale, Carabinieri Corps Lieutenant Colonel Domenico Forte, the Liaison
