On 30 November 2023, a seminar on “Illicit Tobacco Trade and the use of new technologies” was held at the “Prefetto Carlo Mosca” Conference Hall in the Scuola di Perfezionamento per le Forze di Polizia. This meeting was organized by the Vittorio Occorsio Foundation as well as by the Scuola di Perfezionamento, with the contribution of Philip Morris Italy.
This seminar, which is part of the curriculum of the XXXIX Advanced Training Course, dealt with the topic concerning the use of technologies for the current illicit tobacco trade by organized crime.
The following authorities took the floor during this meeting:
- Maurizio Vallone, Director of the Scuola di Perfezionamento per le Forze di Polizia;
- Giovanni Salvi, President of the Scientific Committee of the Vittorio Occorsio Foundation and former Attorney General of the Supreme Court of Cassation;
- Piergiorgio Marini, Person in charge of the external relations and prevention of illegal activities at Philip Morris Italy;
- Guardia di Finanza Brigadier General Luigi Vinciguerra, Commander of the III Operation Unit of the Guardia di Finanza General Headquarters.
