The 2° Course on Calls for Italian Senior Police Officers/Officials to be detached to UE Agencies and International Organizations has been opened today. It is attended by 18 Italian Senior Police Officers/Officials belonging to the four Police Forces.
This Course is aimed, above all, at providing the attendees, who have been selected by their respective Administrations, with the necessary expertise to pass with success the competition tests.
This Course, having two-week duration, has been organized together with the International Relations Service of the Police Forces Coordination and Planning Directorate, as well as in cooperation with the Italian Society for International Organization (SIOI) and the participation of MAECI, EUBAM LIBYA, EUROPOL, FRONTEX, INTERPOL, OSCE, SEAE, with the aim of meeting the Italian needs to effectively train and call for Senior Police Officers /Officials who will participate in the competitions announced by UE Agencies and International Organizations.
During the first week, some face-to face training classes are scheduled with the aim of providing knowledge about European and non-European Institutions as well as management skills to carry out changes practices at organizational level, taking into special account the topics concerning leadership, planning and organization of workflows (at individual level and as a group), communication skills in the perspetive aimed at training the applicant for the structured interview he/she will have to face during the selection tests, as well as for the interaction in a heterogeneous cultural framework.
The next training step will be characterized by the participation of an expert in EPSO procedures, selected by the SIOI, who will train the attendees to pass the selection tests by means of practical exercises.
