The ceremony for the delivery of certificates upon completion of the 2° Course on Calls for Italian Senior Police Officers/Officials to be detached to UE Agencies and International Organizations was held at the Prefetto Carlo Mosca Lecture Hall of our Academy. This Course was attended by 17 Senior Police Officers/Officials belonging to the four Police Forces.
The Deputy Chief of Police in charge of Coordination, Prefetto Maria Teresa Sempreviva, as well as the President of SIOI, Franco Frattini and the Director of the Interagency Law Enforcement Academy of Advanced Studies, Carabinieri Corps Major General Giuseppe La Gala, participated in this event.
The training activity, which was carried out above all in English language, had a two-week duration. Some face-to-face classes as well as videoconference training activity were organized. This Course was aimed at providing the attendees with the necessary expertise to pass with success the competition tests.
During the first week, the panels analized some selected topics with the participation of the International Relations Service of the Police Forces Coordination and Planning Directorate, as well as in cooperation with the Italian Society for International Organization (SIOI) and with some representatives from MAECI, EUBAM LIBYA, EUROPOL, FRONTEX, INTERPOL, OSCE, SEAE.
During the second week, the training activity was focused on the analysis of the EPSO procedures, with the participation of an international expert and lecturer from the SIOI.
This Course is aimed at providing enhanced visibility to the Italian law enforcement system in the most important international and UE fora and at contributing to the implementation of a joint international policy in the field of security based on the added value represented by the the Italian experts having qualified competences.
