After the three year mandate assigned to a Major General from the Guardia di Finanza Corps, who served as Director of the Interagency Law Enforcement Academy of Advanced Studies, on 1 July 2020 a new three year mandate was assigned to a Major General from the Arma deiCarabinieri Corps, according to the Regulation of the Academy which provides for a three year mandate of directorship to be assigned on a rotation basis to the different Police Forces.
The new Director of the Academy is Major General Giuseppe La Gala from the Arma dei Carabinieri Corps. Before taking over this distinguished position, Major General La Gala served as Supervisor at the Advanced Training Studies Institutes of the Arma dei Carabinieri Corps.
