In the light of the positive results obtained from the previous Crime Analysis Conferences which have taken place, the Scuola di Perfezionamento per le Forze di Polizia (Interagency Law Enforcement Academy of Advanced Studies) has organized the fourth step of this event.
Said initiative is aimed at developing activities to be carried out at laboratories where different professional experiences and knowledge can be shared – using our Academy as a sort of catalyst for contributions provided not only by Police Forces- with the purpose of creating a common environment in which the analysts may be supported in their effort to outline, in perspective, a concept of police forces taking into account the challenges they have to face in the field of security.
The event, which was focused on the topic “The changes in law enforcement scenario. New risks and the role of police analysis”, was scheduled to take place in two days, on 6 and 7 February 2020, at the end of the 21st II Level Crime Analysis Course.
On the first day the attendees, divided into groups, created training laboratories focused on four peculiar topics:
1) opportunities and weaknesses: new patterns of risk;
2) challenges in the digital space: security and prevention analysis;
3) the hybrid threat: contamination and inteconnections. Specialization and coordination amomg Police Forces.
4) digitalization and urbanization: smart city and security. New threats and methods to fight against crime. appe del rischio;
On the second day the attendees, after a presentation by the chairmen, illustrated their reports in front of a particularly qualified audience composed of prominent academics as well as of Senior Police Officers operating in the field of crime analysis.
