In the afternoon of 24 November 2020, the trainees of the XXXVI Advanced Training Course were awarded the English Language Certificates. The ceremony was held at the Lecture Hall in the Scuola di Perfezionamento per le Forze di Polizia (Interagency Law Enforcement Academy of Advanced Studies).
As a matter of fact, starting from this year, in addition to the traditional legal disciplines (which fall within the learning subject areas such as coordination of police forces and the fight against organized crime and terrorism; international cooperation, social science, economics and communication; public management), an intensive English course, intended for Italian Senior Police Officers, has been included in the curriculum of the Advanced Training Course. Moreover, an Italian Language Course has been organized for the Foreign Senior Police Officers attending the Advanced Training course as Auditors. Said courses were delivered by the Foreign Language Training Centre of the Carabineiri Corps, which is a Centre of Excellence in the field of Police Forces language training.
The trainees living in the high risk regions according to the epidemiological criteria, the so called “red zones” participated in the ceremony in video conferencing calls.
The Academy Director, after congratulating the trainees for their commitment and for the excellent results they have reached, welcomed and espressed his thanks to the Commander of the Foreign Language Centre of the Carabinieri Corps, Col. Filippo Calisti, who stayed at the Academy Lecture Hall together with the staff who coordinated the learning activity, and expressed his hope for maintaining and developing cooperation between the two Institutes.
