Commemoration of the Capaci massacre, 24 May 1992

Thirty-two years after the Capaci massacre, the whole of Italy proudly remembers those heroes whose sacrifice proved that it is possible to stand up to the Mafia thus   contributing to the victory of  the State over organized crime.

Magistrates Giovanni Falcone and his wife Francesca Morvillo, as well as the members of his police escort, Vito Schifani, Rocco Dicillo and Antonio Montinari will remain for ever in our memory.

Today, at the “Prefetto Carlo Mosca” Conference Hall of this Institute the first episode of the series “The members of the police escorts.  The Massacres of Capaci and Via D’Amelio” will be screened.
