On September 18 2023, the Director of the Scuola di Perfezionamento per le Forze di Polizia, National Police Dir. Gen. Maurizio Vallone, together with the permanent staff, welcomed the trainees of the XXXIX Advanced Training Course, who started their training activity at this Academy.
This year the Advanced Training Course is attended by 20 Senior Police Officers/Officials belonging to the four Italian Police Forces (National Police, Carabinieri Corps, Guardia di Finanza Corps and Prison Police), along with six foreign Senior Police Officers/Officials coming from Algeria, Argentina, France, Peru and United Arab Emirates.
A short welcome ceremony was held to start this training activity aimed at facing the new challenges to security. During this event the Director of the Scuola di Perfezionamento underlined the different aspects characterizing this peculiar training activity as well as the importance to set up a network of professional and human relations affecting their whole professional life and representing the real “added value” of this Course.
This outstanding event represented a kind of handover between the previous and the current groups of trainers. Then, the leader of the XXXVIII Advanced Training Course, Carabinieri Corps Colonel t.SFP Nicolò Giordano, welcomed the new trainees, together with the Colonel of the Slovak Republic t.SFP Marcel Pavuk, who attended the above-mentioned Course and represented the other foreign auditors who, last June, concluded their training activity along with the Italian colleagues.
At the end of this short but heartfelt welcome ceremony, the new trainees introduced themselves and posed for the group photo.
The Advanced Training Course, having an Academic Year duration, is aimed at honing the scientific-professional expertise of Management Grade Police Officers/Officials, as well as at improving their decision-making skills by providing them with methods and techniques in the fields of law enforcement organization, development and coordination. Also this year, the Course training activity will be focused on four traditional learning areas: “law enforcement coordination and fight against organized crime and terrorism”; “international cooperation”; “social, economic and communication sciences”; “public management”.
