On 28 April 2022, in the framework of the curriculum of the XXXVII Advanced Training Course, the lecture delivered by the Commander–General of the Guardia di Finanza Corps, Lieutenant General Giuseppe Zafarana, was held at the Scuola di Perfezionamento per le Forze di Polizia. This initiative is the first one of a set of meetings with the leaders of the four Police Forces.
At the opening of this event, intended to the trainees of the Advanced Training Course, the Director of the Scuola di Perfezionamento, Carabinieri Corps Major General Giuseppe La Gala, extended his welcome greeting to the audience and thanked Commander-General Zafarana for his outstanding participation.
This initiative is part of the current learning programme focused on the study and deep analysis of the innovative measures provided for by the National Resilience and Recovery Plan and their impact on security matters.
Lieutenant General Giuseppe Zafarana illustrated the institutional tasks of the Guardia di Finanza in its capacity as economic-financial police and analyzed the current post-Covid 19 scenario and the strategy adoped to protect revenue, public expenditure, goods and services market, as well as to counter organized crime and to carry out surveillance activity in cooperation with other institutions responsible for controlling the management of funds provided for by the National Resilience and Recovery Plan, in the framework of Next Generation EU.
At the conclusion of the session, Major General La Gala expressed his gratitude to the Commander- General of the Guardia di Finanza Corps for the positive influence of his contribution over the future professional careers of the attending trainees.
