Study visit to Italy of a delegation from the Advanced Training Institute of the french Ministry of the Interior (IHEMI)

On 21 June 2021,  the  study visit of a delegation made up of 60 trainees of the Advanced Training Institute of the French Ministry of the Interior (IHEMI) took place in the   historical and prestigious Cenacolo compound, where the Interagency Law Enforcement Academy of Advanced Studies is located.

During this event, a memorandum of understanding on the topic “cooperation in the field of training” between the Public Security Departmemt and the IHEMI, represented by its Director Préfet Eric FREYSSELINARD,  was signed in the presence of the Chief of Police- Director General of Public Security Department, Prefetto Lamberto Giannini.

This agreement is aimed at strenghtening  joint cooperation in the field of training intended for Middle-Managament and Management Grade Police Officers/Officials  who are engaged in preventing and tackling the threats to common security, as well as at developing the international dimension of the Interagency Law Enforcement Academy of Advanced Studies.

During the meeting, a wide description of the topics concerning coordination  was illustrated and any single Police Force delivered  a presentation of its structure, describing its peculiar  organization, activities,  tasks and characteristics.

On 22 June 2021, a round table was organized on the topic concerning the fight against Mafia-type organized crime. The Deputy Chief of Police, Deputy Director General of Public Security Department, Director of Criminal Police Department Vittorio Rizzi, as well as the Italian National Antimafia and Counter- Terrorism Public Prosecutor,  Federico Cafiero De Raho, participated in this round table together with other prominent figures.
